Chance The Rapper just held another press conference to announce some exciting news for Chicago Public Schools. After recently donating $1 million himself, Chance has now also gotten the Chicago Bulls to match his $1 million donation. Additionally he’s also shared that his New Chance Arts and Literature Fund will kick off this upcoming fall continuing these efforts.
These efforts followed a meeting Chance had with Illinois’ Governor after CPS funding was cut short taking matters into his own hands. His Social Works non-profit organization has raised over $2.2 million for CPS and is donating $10,000 to 12 schools in addition to specific schools he’s already donated to. Once again Chance shows he’s a man of the people and is the mayor Chicago deserves. Watch the press conference below.
