Florida-born band Hundred Waters has captivated fans everywhere with a genre-blending sound that brings together elements of electronic music, acoustic instruments and more. The trio catapulted to worldwide fame just over a year ago when Skrillex remixed their single “Show Me Love,” even bringing in Chance The Rapper in for a verse that transformed the track into something music fans of all genres could love.
This was far from the first time the band and the producer came together – Skrillex signed the group to OWSLA all the way back in 2012. Although the fusion of Hundred Waters and Skrillex may have seemed unexpected, it’s made perfect sense as the years go by, proven in the band’s most recent release “Particle.” The track is a single off their forthcoming album and comes via OWSLA. Skrillex once again teamed up with the group in the song’s production, helping to create a masterful release that’s fresh and exciting.
Was on honor working on this song by one of my favorite bands ever https://t.co/yC1AdCL1Zv

The first thing you notice about “Particle” is the vocals. Nicole’s voice leaps through the speaker, gripping you from the start with her airy tone. Beyond her constant, haunting voice is the impeccable production. Layers and layers of elements are incorporated at various points throughout the track, including well-placed percussion, synths, subtle bass and even some flute. The result is a chill, spellbinding release that transcends multiple genres, showing Skrillex’s range when it comes to creating good music and his ability to come together with other producers to make something new. Check out “Particle,” out now on OWSLA below and enjoy!
